It is a compensation insurance in the event of illness or accident that also enables a series of risks that are present in the daily life and work of many professionals to be covered through complementary guarantees such as daily hospitalisation due to illness or accident and surgery.

What does this insurance offer?


The insured person decides which daily benefit he/she wants (from a catalogue).

It enables compensation to be received in the event of illness or accident, without the need to apply for sick leave with the Social Security or wait for medical discharge to receive the benefit.

The compensation to be received in the event of an accident is known in advance as the compensation days corresponding to each pathology are predetermined.

We want to debunk some myths regarding Temporary Incapacity to Work Insurance


False. Your health insurance may cover part of your medical expenses but the Temporary Incapacity to Work Insurance offers compensation in the event of both illness and accident.

False. Although you have a job that is considered to be “safe”, you need the accident insurance to cover any accidental injuries that may occur at any time, even outside work.

False. An accident may occur at any time, regardless of your health and age.

False. Life insurance can provide financial protection for your family in the event of death, but it will not cover you in the event of illness or accident that does not result in death.

Wouldn't it be better to have those savings for other unforeseen events, or for retirement? With this insurance, you foresee a drop in income in the event of an accident or illness, because you can maintain your liquidity without touching your savings for a small cost.

This insurance is for both employees and self-employed workers. Although you will continue to be paid, generally speaking, there are days that you don't get paid and you will be paid between 60% and 75% of your contribution base for the other days, so the real loss can be considerable.

There are few exemptions and they do not apply in the event of an accident.

No. One of the advantages of our Temporary Incapacity to Work Insurance is its independence from the Social Security in order to get paid and continue working, as you only need a medical report.


Cover contracted

  • Basic cover of € 60 / day.
  • Optional cover for hospitalisation of € 60 / day.
  • Optional cover for surgery of € 5,000.

What will you receive from the Social Security?

If you contribute at the minimum base, paying €300 per month, Social Security will pay you: € 567 .

You will still have to pay the self-employed worker contribution, so the amount you will receive will be € 267 .

What compensation will you receive with our Temporary Incapacity to Work Insurance?

Grounds/Reason: retinal detachment surgery (with 4 days of hospitalisation).

Sick leave days set out in the charts: 46 days.

Amount to be compensated with basic Temporary Incapacity to Work Insurance cover: € 60 /day x 46 days; you will be paid € 2.760 .

    Amount to be paid with optional Temporary Incapacity to Work Insurance cover:
  • Hospitalisation: you will be entitled to an additional €60 for every 24 hours of hospitalisation: € 60 /day x 4 days; you will be paid € 240 .
  • Surgery: you will be entitled to €5,000 x % of the risk group to which the operated detachment corresponds (35%, 45% or 60%): 5,000 x 45%; you will be paid € 2.250 .

The total amount you will be paid is €5,250.
